Let me offer an opinion (and you know I’ve got a bunch):
I don’t think all speech is “free” – just as there isn’t a free lunch.
If you criticize me harshly – even if at all, quite frankly –
you’ll be called out as ungrateful when you really should have thanked me.
While it’s clearly documented what I’ve uttered in the past –
that free speech should not be censored – that opinion didn’t last.
When the newscasts and comedians are all aligned against me,
then their rights should be suspended when their coverage has incensed me.
The percentage of the stories that are bad is 97.
That’s a number I made up. (P.S. – I hope to get to heaven.)
Now, the First Amendment’s sacrosanct… unless the speaker’s “woke,”
or a Democrat, or if I am the butt of someone’s joke.
In the Bill of Rights, it lists which freedoms cannot be infringed,
such as speech – unless, of course, it makes this POTUS come unhinged.
So, as far as I’m concerned, you’d best be careful what you say –
since there’s many other freedoms that I’d love to take away.
