The meaning of “transparency,” perhaps, is not that clear.
My calls for such an effort are both glib and insincere.
The textbook definition is of something you can see through,
and you can see right through what I’ve just done – I guarantee you.
I said – at first – the Epstein files deserved to be released,
but then described my interest level as “not in the least.”
I said protecting victims was now paramount and moral…
the smell of this reversal’s best described as “less than floral.”
I shut the House down early for a well-deserved vacation:
they’ve worked hard doing nothing that would benefit our nation.
They will not reconvene until much later, in September –
by which time I am hoping that this fire’s a dying ember.
Although, for one brief moment, it appeared I’d grown a spine,
how quickly with the President I’ve gotten back in line.
The blanks in what we know about this scandal won’t be filled in.
I act like Trump’s the victim here. Who’s really suffered? Children.
