I sent a bunch of letters to address this tariff feud.
Within them, there were errors; they contained a multitude:
the use of random Capitals, and one rogue honorific,
made the print-out of these missives several steps far from terrific.
In one, a lady leader was addressed as a “Dear Mister.”
And reading any one of them aloud is a tongue-twister.
The template used appeared as if composed by the Mad Hatter,
all ending with, “Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
And then there is the firmness of the deadline I’d announced;
one date, and then another – through the calendar it’s bounced.
I said there was a new date for replies, the first of August,
proclaiming it was “firm” – with the rigidity of sawdust.
Another disconcerting move regarding these transactions;
yet one more bid to overwhelm with limitless distractions,
and keep the focus off what’s happened with those files from Epstein –
rogue deportations – that vile bill – and others you’ve not yet seen.
