A Pen-sive Moment

I said I didn’t sign a proclamation
intended to deport thugs from our nation.
Others handled it, I thought – so then,
some wondered if staff used an autopen.

I’d said that pardons signed by Sleepy Joe
were inked by that machine (he didn’t know),
and therefore they were null and also void –
a “Gotcha!” moment; I was overjoyed.

But now it seems I am a bit unsure;
my latest ambiguity du jour.
As I cannot remember what I’ve signed –
it’s one more clue I’ve clearly lost my mind.
