Should Black history classes be allowed? I really am not certain.
Education as a concept should support our children’s bright hopes.
So, to focus on those details that we’ve swept behind a curtain
could cause undue pain and suffering, especially for white folks.

I would like to be the leader of a bureau I’d extinguish.
Does the DoE serve any useful purpose? That’s the question.
And of all the programs this department’s funding, here’s the thing: which
focus on what’s *patriotic*, and deemphasize oppression?

At my confirmation hearing, I responded in a cool voice.
Though my tenure may be short, there’s great disturbance I can render:
I’d use public dollars to support religion-guided school choice;
not as clear on Title I – but clearly anti-all transgender.

Made my fortune due to wrestling, one year’s service on a school board,
sued for sex abuse of children subject to my supervision.
Trump says DoE’s a “con job,” a department that he’s cool toward –
I’m just one more nomination making clear his lack of vision.
