Let’s Do the Time Warp Again

Let’s get rid of Daylight Saving Time! Who needs that extra hour?
When our country was first founded, there were no such things as “clocks.”
All those minutes gained in Spring, when comes the Fall, will be devoured.
I am anti-immigration; also anti-equinox.

There is science to support this, though I haven’t made it clear
whether I prefer to stick with clocks set forward or behind,
and not have to change displays of time as now done twice a year.
It is more a concept of a plan, remaining undefined.

As the leader of this country, I have time-changing authority.
Of the many issues facing us, quite clearly this outstrips
any others I campaigned on: I now make this a priority.
(I don’t care for sunlight ever since I stared at that eclipse.)

Now, to make our country great again – we must go in reverse,
back when there were fewer pronouns. And as everyone assumes they
think the policies I advocate will only make things worse,
be assured time is advancing – as the clock ticks down toward doomsday.
