Tim Walz
It wasn’t very bright to say my head is made of knuckle,
so, through this campaign’s final weeks, it’s down I’ve got to buckle.
I’ve got to tighten up my pitch through all remaining chances,
and contrast my positions against those of JD Vance’s.

Bodily autonomy: distinction’s clearly drawn.
Climate change a hoax? Not certain which side JD’s on.
Donald saved Obamacare? I thought that was McCain.
Asked if Biden won last time, Vance opted to abstain.

Details of my trips to China – clearly, some misstated.
Hardly as egregious as the numbers Vance conflated:
mixing up “illegally” with workers foreign-born.
And what about those Haitians toward whom he imparted scorn?

I certainly was nervous; JD seemed more self-assured.
Of course, he offered up a lie with nearly every word.
And while the tone between us largely stayed polite and affable,
Refusing to admit Trump lost was damning, snide, and laughable.
