Delivering poetic justice during the Trump years.

Joe Biden
So… last night was rough; can’t apply sugar-coating.
It may, in fact, impact how some will be voting.
My aura was halting, erratic, disjointed.
Hard-pressed to find backers who weren’t disappointed.

Plagued by a cold (so they say), I seemed brittle –
with answers unfocused. Meandered a little.
While deep in my belly – no sign of a fire
as I stood at my lectern right next to a liar.

No doubt about it – I wasn’t outstanding.
I threw too few punches, with none of them landing.
The arguments I made were less than compellin’ –
except when compared to those made by that felon.

Afterward started the hue and the cry
for a Dem POTUS candidate other than I.
The choices are me, who is far from his youth –
or The Former Guy –who is divorced… from the truth.

Last night, despite bumbling and fumbling, Biden spoke truths. Trump has no excuse for his lies.

Oh, completely agree! But still a dismal performance from Biden, which Trump is using to distract all attention from the seven-course meal of nothing resembling the truth that he served up.
