Trump, In Verse

My thanks to you, dear Iowans – you’ve given me momentum.
I’m now off to New Hampshire, where I’ll tell more lies – and then some.
The turnout in the Hawkeye State was lessened due to frost,
but still I claimed a massive win as all the others lost.

The story I’ll start spinning: my ascendency’s inevitable,
enlivened by conjecture, all of which is just not creditable.
I said that many immigrants arriving now are “terrorists” –
that joins so many other false assertions on my error list.

The caucuses in Iowa are something of a relic:
like rotary-dial telephones, or faxes, or Tom Selleck.
I’m only getting started so expect more of my ranting,
as democratic processes I’ll grimly be supplanting.
